One of the Top 10 boxes

Here is my friend the owl back again but this time he’s sitting on one of boxes that comes straight from the Big Shot. Box #2 is a new die in this catalogue and I can see it having a big future in my house at least. This box has already appeared in my previous Kimono Kids post, and I’m sure will be in a few more to come, so I’m adding it to my Top 10.

I have already decided that I will be making about 50 of them this December for Max and Ned’s classmates 🙂

Before that though I will be using the box for a couple of my workshops and that’s where the owl decorated box comes in….

Don’t you wish you could come along???

  • Stamp Set – Pocket Silhouettes
  • Cardstock – Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Elegant Soiree DSP
  • Ink – Early Espresso
  • Other – Big Shot, Box #2 die, Owl punch, Oval punch, twine, dimensionals

Top 10 in a kimono

Lots of great stamp sets in the new catalogue…..one that immediately caught my eye was Kimono Kids. I haven’t actually bought this one myself BUT I do have a friend who only lives 2 doors away that did buy it 🙂 So during the recent school holidays some friends, Nic and Casey, came over to do some stamping and I got to have a play.

My uplines upline Madonna challenged me to  add some Pumpkin Pie to my life so I combined that colour with this VERY cute stamp set and here is the result….

A little box that I could fit a few choccies into and a 3 x 3 ” note card to match. Of course these had to go into the post and are now living at Madonna’s house!!

  • Stamp Set – Kimono Kids
  • Cardstock – Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Rose Red, Watercolour paper
  • Ink – Stazon Black, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red
  • Other – Big Shot, Box #2 die, 1 3/4″ circle punch, scallop circle punch,  black satin ribbon (non SU), aquapainter

A delightful addition to the Top 10

Can you guess??? Yep another one of the new faves is the stamp set ‘Delightful Decorations’ and it has a matching punch!!! Happy days 🙂

I’m going to give you a sneak peek at one of the cards from my upcoming Christmas Stamp-A-Stack that uses this set and punch. Lots of Christmas cards to be made and the months are slipping away…..where does the time go?

This card uses the stamp set, the punch AND the new Christmas themed DSP Jolly Holiday.

  • Stamp Sets – Delightful Decorations, Curly Cute
  • Cardstock – Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Jolly Holiday DSP
  • Ink – Cherry Cobbler
  • Other – Ornament punch. Scallop Trim border punch, dimensionals

Another one of the Top 10

Thank goodness for Regional swaps!!! Because now I can show you another of my top 10 without making it myself!!! LOL

This is an extremely cute little milk carton I received from fellow Mad Inkstincter Kirsty Brown.

How cool is it to be able to run the die quickly through the Big Shot and have this little creation appear in a couple of minutes. Fair enough- it doesn’t come out decorated like this one, but half of the fun is making it look good 🙂

  • Stamp set – Got Treats
  • Cardstock – Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
  • Other – Big Shot, Mini Milk Carton Die, Very Vanilla satin ribbon, basic pearl, Scallop Trim punch

Elegant members of the Top 10

I have realised that I didn’t show you the swap I made for our SU Regional training day, AND it contains 2 more of more top 10 from the new catalogue, as well as a stamp set I’m pretty impresed with.

The phrase “Imagine the Possibilities” is from the set Word Play and I LOVE it. Imagine what you could make with it!!! LOL

As soon as I saw the Elegant Lines embossing folder in the catalogue I knew I had to have it and the fact that it matches the Elegant Soiree DSP (which contains some of my favourite colours) meant they both went straight onto my wish list and into my top ten 🙂

The stripes along the side are from teh Elegant Soiree DSP, one of the great things about this set of paper is that it includes stripes and spots that can be used for more masculine things as well as the feminine flourishes.

  • Stamp set – Word Play
  • Cardstock – Crumb Cake, Elegant Soiree DSP
  • Ink – Soft Suede
  • Other – Big Shot, Elegant Lines embossing folder, 1/4″ Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon

One of the Top 10

The owl punch. How cute is it????? I know the answer out there is EXTREMELY because after just 2 1/2 weeks of the new catalogue being launched this little fella was already on back order- but never fear I had 3  ordered by customers and they showed just 2 days after the original order, so it looks like the littel fella is back on the warehouse shelves!

This is a swap that one of my downlines, Mandy, made for regionals using the owl punch. Cute isn’t it???

  • Stamp sets – Cheep Talk, Woodgrain
  • Cardstock – Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
  • Ink – Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake
  • Other – Woodland Walk DSP, Owl punch, Bird punch
