Just Add Ink #54

Every week I check out the challenge at Just Add Ink and every week I contemplate playing along, now I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or something more, but I only ever seem to get my act together when it’s a colour challenge. Well this week it’s a colour challenge and I have played along.

Here are the colours for this week

Yep – pink- 2 pinks….and I did it Bear in mind some of my favourite browns are there too.

I just got these 2 sets in the mail this week and didn’t need too big of an excuse to break them out. Make A Monster is another great set in clear mount- makes it easy to those eyes, mouth, etc exactly where you want them. I tried to make the monsters look a little girly to go with the pink- what do you think??

And here is my attempt… a birthday card for my neighbour – Al. It’s not his birthday for a couple of weeks, so don’t tell him, OK?

Congratulations!!! If you have stuck around long enough to find a new post on my blog you are an extremely patient person

My resolution as I said yesterday is to blog consistently. My aim is twice a week……keep checking on me to see how that goes LOL

Our first day of the new year here was wet and cool, so after doing some kilometres around a shopping centre, I got to spend some time at my desk and came up with the following card inspired by the previous nights fireworks.

I was lucky enough to receive a heat tool for my birthday (thanks Mandy) and have been having some fun experimenting with it. This time I used it to apply heat and stick powder and some supa nova glitter to the image representing fireworks explosion-lots of bling!!

This week’s challenge at Just Add Ink is ‘Just Add Summer’. Fireworks over the beach. What’s more summer than that??? So I will enter this little creation and make a start on another resolution

Another Just Add Ink challenge….and about time too I hear you say

A colour challenge, tricky at first glance, but I’m on school holidays and after witnessing the amazing watercolouring skills of Kirsty Brown first hand, I needed another opportunity to practice!!!

A pretty basic looking layout but I can asssure you that there’s lots of bits and pieces contributing. Can you see where I snuck in the Pumpkin Pie??? Wasn’t quite sure how else to get it in there.

• Stamp Set – Loads of Love
• Cardstock- Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Old Olive
• Ink- Stazon Black, Old Olive, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand

Just Add Ink #28

When I saw this weeks challenge at Just Add Ink I was very excited- one of my all time favourite colour combinations!!!!

Due to all of the goings on at the O’Neill house this week I have left the challenge until a couple of hours before it closes…..pathetic isn’t it? But I just couldn’t let it  go by……

Did I mention there was also a theme? A man card.

Not a lot of stamping on this one, I think the stars are fairly masculine, what do you think?

One of the first things I do Friday morning is to check out the  new challenge at the Just Add Ink site- they are always great. (You can check them out with the link on my blogroll) This week I have found it hard to get into my craft space and do any stamping and was about to go to bed when I thought ‘just give it a go’. So here are the results…..

A colour challenge this week- Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.

I kept it pretty simple and used some punches- which I love

• Ink- Soft Suede, Elegant Eggplant

Just Add Ink #24 again

My previous attempt at the sketch challenge just didn’t seem like me so I thought I’d give it another go. This one is a bit closer to my normal colour scheme but I’m still not certain….what do you think?

A sketch challenge this week……

The last JAI challenge I attempted was a sketch too- maybe they are the ones I like?? Or maybe I just haven’t had any time since then??

Anyway this is what I came up with- not my usual colour combo but it’s nice to experiment.

• Stamp set- For Everything
• Card stock- Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
• Ink- Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, Taken with Teal, Almost Amethyst
• Other- SAMJ, Elegant Eggplant ribbon, Sponge

Just Add Ink #21

A sketch challenge this week, and I’ve had a new box of goodies arrive on my doorstep, not that I need to have a reason to stamp! Don’t forget to check out everyone else’s awesome work at the Just Add Ink site, there is a link on the left side of my blog. (one day I’ll figure out how to put their badge there )

I decided to ink up the ‘Lots of Bots’ stamp set and also to have a play with the gloss white paper that I was introduced to at our Stampdragon team meeting this week (I still have so much to learn!!).

The sentiment is from the same stamp set “HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUMAN”, and I think with 2 sons aged 4 and 8, I will be getting a LOT of  use from this set.
